Amhold Ltd. Accepted as UNPD Supplier

17.03.2014

In January, Amhold Ltd. was accepted as a certified supplier for the UN procurements and added into the Vendor Roster of the United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD). It provides an opportunity to participate with design services in international procurements as well.

The United Nations (UN) is an international organization founded in 1945 in San Francisco with a goal of maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights. Today, the UN has 192 Member States. Estonia joined the UN in 1991.

The volume of the UN procurements has increased over the years in order to assure the implementation of its extensive activities. Goods and services for more than 3 billion dollars a year are bought today. The UN as every other purveyor wants to purchase from the best manufacturers/service providers and with the best price-quality ratio.

There are specific procedure rules for participation in UN procurements and a potential supplier must be registered in the UNGM database, where the competence, supply and financial capacity, quality standards and other conditions of the company are specified.
