The new Training Building of Põltsamaa Vocational School has been completed and opened

The new training building of the Põltsamaa Vacational School’s learning and work campus was inaugurated on the 10th of January.

The new training building with the net area of 3 362 m2 incorporates highly equipped classrooms for the studies of construction, auto mechanics and agriculture. The new building is also equipped with rooms for the teaching of theoretical skills to craftsmen, rooms for staff and other auxiliary facilities. The Training center is now more efficiently equipped to carry out the further and additional training of adults in more effective ways and in larger numbers than before.

As the main designer and project manager Amhold performed the engineering-technical and environmental surveys, leading design, architectural and interior design, structural engineering design, water supply and HVAC, control engineering design, electrical systems (weak and strong current systems) and infrasystems design. Amhold also prepared building automation systems, security and alarm systems, landscaping design, plots roads and traffic schemes solutions. Amhold also carried out supervision during the construction period.

The project manager of the design was Jaan Aru, the building architect Jane Teresk, the structural design was performed by Andrei Uibukant and Katrin Viirlik and HVAC by Jelena Štšetinina.

The total cost of the new training campus was 3,35 million euros. The training building was cofounded by the European Union Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund (ERF) and the Estonian Republic. The construction work was executed by the construction company Rand & Tuulberg Limited.
